Im really surprised the book got such a good note when it felt so lame to me. Women that feel weak and cowering, a voice that sounded artificial, a super slow begining, ... I mean, come on !

v fast paced & i really liked the short chapters. wasn’t a huge fan of the police involvement; i suppose it did move the story forward in some ways but it wasn’t necessary and i think the cops being around interrupted the creepy claustrophobic feel of the book. i guessed the ending about halfway into the book but i didn’t guess the specifics of it, and it didn’t ruin the book for me because it was just a guess. i didn’t think the ending was particularly obvious nor did i think it was entirely out of left field. i enjoyed the way everyone’s secrets intertwined and came out slowly. overall was pretty much exactly what i’m hoping for from a book in this genre!

This is such a clever, expertly plotted murder mystery revolving around a group of friends and their partners/spouses, who gather together for a wedding, and then a year later an anniversary. It has the feel of a modern Agatha Christie.

The setting (a house on the cliffs) is wonderful and all the characters are beautifully drawn. This is such a suspenseful page turner, with a fabulous twist at the end. Ms Abbott never fails to deliver and I am now waiting for Book 3 in the series.

Great narration from Olivia Vinall made this a perfect listen.

Finally finished this! Took a while but i powered through, and it was kinda worth it

The story itself is fast-paced, but some things did not sit well with my taste. The book, in general, was good. Good idea, good storyline, good ending. However this was not my best read out there.

I kinda have trouble with the author’s approach in making the story more suspenseful. Some parts felt forced, some were unnecessarily draggy. I also had problems with the actions by the characters. If the murderer knew, or at least get a hunch of what the reunion would be about, why bother even coming
mysterious sad fast-paced

Really liked this one, it was such a fun read and I’ll definitely read more of her books!

Could not put this down, holy moly. Realizing i haven’t read enough thrillers to spoil anything for myself yet but this was a hit. A really fun read.

Read in one day and unfortunately I didn’t think it was to the same standard as other books by this author. Lots of characters, some of which are totally unbelievable set in a large house. So there were lots of overhead snippets of conversations which you never quite got the full story from so it did drag on quite a bit.
