I read this book before puppy arrived and thought it was excellent. After puppy arrived – and through the first few months which were rocky for a number of reasons – I questioned the wisdom of any expert implying (through the title of a book or its contents) that puppy training or ownership could be 'easy peasy'. This was neither our expectation nor experience, and I don't think it's a helpful expectation to encourage, even if the guidance represents the best and latest thinking. Pup is now 15 months and lovely, and many of the ideas in this book have been really valuable to us, but there was nothing easy peasy about raising and training him!
