This book was written by a person of privilege  in 2006 and it shows… lots of offensive language and stereotypes

Again a very gruesome and horrific thriller which had me engrossed from the start till the end. All th3 surprises were sprung upon the reader in the first half of the book. There’s no big twist at the end but the path leading to the resolution had me captivated all book long. Like with Lena I did wonder how Will and Angie can do their jobs properly with everything going on in their lives, both in the past and the present. And again I wonder at how all the characters in Slaughter’s books have such troublesome lives. I also wonder how Slaughter would manage writing a thriller less gruesome but just as engrossing…

My second Karen Slaughter book (Pretty Girls being my first) and I am just amazed by the way she is able to make me want to stop reading forever but also not want to put the book down. One thing I've learned is that nothing Slaughter puts on the page is filler- every detail comes back to hit you in the face. So excited to continue the Will Trent series.
