I LOVE the concept, but I could not get past the more juvenile writing style. I also found the ghost character to be annoying personally. I would love this concept done by a different author.

Loved the goats. I can't believe the author wrote important plot into........ those scenes. I actually cracked up laughing at how ridiculous it was but it was still funny to read. There were many serendipitous things in this book that fit with my life in crazy ways ("useful"... Taipei...) and made me gasp in shock. The romance was cute and I really loved the themes explored here. Loving someone, including their flaws, and truly seeing someone. Also, the goats. And the dogs. And the cats.

This book was absolutely adorable and funny! I’ve always loved paranormal themes like ghosts, witches, and the like—so stories like this are definitely my kind of thing. I also really enjoyed the farm setting and the goats; it reminded me of my childhood summers spent at my grandparents’ place. They had a harvest field along with chickens and ducks, and I would help out and play with the animals—minus the ghost (at least, I hope there wasn’t one ;) ).

The only thing that bothered me a bit was how often Charlie reminded Gretchen that she was a con artist just scamming people. That repetition felt a little overdone. Overall, though, I really enjoyed the book and the cozy farm vibes.

P.S. If I were a ghost cursed to live 100 years on the same field, I’d definitely watch all the TV dramas too :)
