Just shy of a 4 star. It’s lighthearted and a good storyline, but the romance felt forced and the plot was super super predictable. Still enjoyable, but probably wouldn’t recommend to friends.

I loved the quirky characters, the goats, the character growth... The only thing that's missing from this story is the eventual confrontation with Gretchen's father. Everything up to the Epilogue was perfect, I think, but then the Epilogue just felt a bit rushed? I still loved it, though :)

Cute, but you definitely have to get past some of the sillier aspects of the book. Didn’t much care for the deception element, but since it’s a lighthearted romance, I’m choosing to let it go. Also Everett is great, and Mara Wilson is a wonderful narrator.
