Mini Review
This one ended up being better than I anticipated (Strictly from the fact that I pulled it blind from my shelf but am a mood reader and wasn’t in the mood for it. I've heard amazing things about it overall!). If you like Jack Ryan, historical references, art, culture, puzzles, strong imagery, and a bit of thrill and adventure, this is for you! It’s slower paced, and I’ll be honest I wasn’t particularly attached to any of the characters. Once I got about halfway through, it really started to pick up and there were some twists and turns that surprised me along the way.

2.5 stars :)

As usual it turned out to be one of my favourite Dan Brown books probably because I loveeee Robert Langdon hahaha. Got a little sidetracked by the writing in the beginning part of the book cos something felt different about it, and I was quite lost in the first part probably because Robert was lost / confused too. Also this time reading his book I got a little annoyed at the winding and convoluted descriptions (lolol becoming more detail oriented than before) but as usual really fast-paced and exciting and I particularly love the back stories of all the characters this time. And apparently I'm getting better at recognising plot twists or at least anticipating them because halfway through the book I stopped trusting Sienna. LOLLLL. And I think I will make a list of all the places he included in his books on my to-visit list in Europe in future hehe.

Personally, I think this is the best of the Robert Langdon books. I have read the other three and , while they are good fun reads, this one seemed to have more to it. I was immediately hooked both by the plot and desperately wanting to find out what happened. Is it going to be remembered as a faultless work of literature? Probably not, but it is an extremely fast-paced and thrilling read to start off your summer.
