Re-read

The cheese! Honestly, it’s so much, but it fits so well! I have so much love for these books, it’s entirely insane.

If you’re looking to read cheesy teenage spy adventures, with all of the expected teenager shenanigans but with CIA and cool gadgets thrown in, read these!

A really great sequel to "I'd Tell You I Love But Then I'd Have to Kill You". If the first book wasn't your favorite, keep persevering because this book makes it well worth it!

Would 15-16 year old girls today know what Alias or Buffy the Vampire Slayer are? Great analogies, but you might as well be saying that the main character acts like Gidget. *I* know who that is -- but do you?

I'm currently re-reading this series with a buddy.

My memory of the series is that the first book was kind of a throwaway, which is my I've never re-read it. But the main story arc was quite strong, but ends with a bit of a whimper in the last installment.

My review of 4 stars holds up for me. I found the book to be fast paced and easy to read which is a pretty good feat, considering I've read this a couple of times before, and I'm aged out a little from the tone of the book. Despite that I found Cammie to be a great lead.

This almooost suffers from middle book syndrome as there was no concrete plot anchoring it, but I didn't necessarily mind that, because I felt that what it does accomplish was quite well done.

The first book is very I'm a teenage spy discovering the world of boys (not a sustainable plot). This is a little more of the same but done..better. Cammie and co are introduced to more boys, this time spies themselves. In terms of plot, there isn't really anything substantial but this book is really about introducing Zach, a key player in the rest of the series.

This lack of plot didn't particularly bother me (probably because of nostalgia), but it was an easy, quick read, despite the middle-book syndrome.
A generous 4 Stars

Pre-teen me would have been completely absorbed into the book. The ending was fast-paced and the epilogue definitely entices me to keep reading. As an adult, I still found it entertaining though predictable.
