There is just a little too many threads in this story. The love triangle, the hiding of identities, easy to figure out the murderer. It ties up nicely into a bow by the end. Just a lot going on. This is the first in the series and I am not tempted to try the next one. Info on the bats was very interesting.

Good Reading

At first I found this book a bit slow and wasn't sure I liked it.
However, once I got a little further I became a fan.

Great murder storyline with a touch of romance that's not cringy
Likeable characters who all have depth and can't wait to read more about them in the next book.

I mever thought “cozy mysteries” were for me but I love Nell Ward & I cant wait to continue the series! There was kind of a lot going on but I enjoy that. There’s a mystery, a love triangle, secret past of the main character, & because she is an ecologist we get to learn about bats in this book also. No mention of crows in the other than the last name of the murdered!! Get it!???
