Y’all. I don’t know how to feel.

I really sacrificed sleep to finish this book at 5am… and I didn’t even like it.

The sexual chemistry was everything. The story was not. Ugh. The tropes. I hate it. The flashbacks to her husband also had me feeling guilty. Idk. Everything that happened seemed outlandish and childish, especially the last 10%

Updated my rating to one star, because I am still angry about how everything was wrapped up. I wrote a whole 3 page rant in my journal. This book left me unwell.

I really enjoyed the overall storyline—there’s a solid foundation here and plenty of emotion to keep you invested. That said, I did feel like the pacing dragged at times. Some parts could’ve moved along quicker, especially with the miscommunication between the characters—it felt like certain issues could have been resolved much sooner. Still, the emotional depth and character dynamics kept me hooked. I’m definitely curious to see where the rest of the series goes and plan to continue reading!
