I'll say up front, shorts aren't usually my thing, in terms of romance. It just takes time to properly develop them.

That said, this was super cute. I enjoyed watching these two very ordered characters dance around each other. I would have loved more time to really dig in, because I think they were fabulous.

The Viscount's Christmas Temptation by Erica Ridley
She has taken care of her brother and his estate and she realizes he will never choose a bride til she herself has a new job by being married.
The annual Christmas party is usually held at the Marshall estate but this year it's undergoing large renovations that will not be ready so the ball has been cancelled.
She takes it upon herself to solict his help and money and her ideas to make the Christmas ball happen. He follows her around to other locations til they realize it's really her brother's estate that can handle it all and they make it happen. Excerpts from other books are included.
Love having read this one as I've read many in the series and have enjoyed them. Love hearing of the kissing ball and know it's really mistletoe.
Received this free review copy from the author and this is my honest opinion.

The story was short but incredibly cute and sufficient. I love when historical fiction romances include those of us who are pushing our prime or already there (age 30 and up). Makes me not feel so unaccomplished lol. As I am a lover of Historical Fiction/Romance this novella did not disappoint and I was thoroughly satisfied with it.

It was a cute, short read. Loved how he fell for her brains and ingenuity at the very beginning!

This book was free on Amazon when I bought it and it made my new year very pleasant!
If are as messy as me and and unorganized as me then this book definitely appeal to you. This is because the lead lady, Amelia Pembroke is a meticulous, manipulative and a very organised woman who happens to be the sister of Duke of Ravenwood. She decides to get married and is on a hunt for a husband with a title. But her plans are at a pause when she realizes that the Viscount of Sheffield wasn't going to organize the annual Christmas party due to a lightning burning down the venue. This gives Amelia a chance to organize a the event on behalf of the Viscount.
The Viscount is a rake who unfortunately isn't prepared for the robot of Ravenwood to come and request him to have the Christmas party.
But little did they both know that they would end up falling for each other because of this!
The story is simple, sweet and well written. The story makes one fall in love with the characters and even wonder how one could actually imagine a workaholic couple! The characters themselves have a charm that makes the reader want to know them. Hence this is one book that can make a new year just cozy with a cup of hot coffee!!

Great, quick read. Sweet romantic regency with a logic-driven heroine and a free-spirited hero that exemplify opposites attract. Descriptive without dragging, this is a wonderful HEA novel.
