Not surprisingly this was a great and truly thought provoking read. Just how close Srewtapes toast on democracy, has become reality is scary.

Every letter had me reflecting on the ways the enemy tries to steer me away from God - through cycles of temptation, doubt, fear... C.S. Lewis delivered such thoughtful insight through humor and wit.

A fantastic read. A heavy read. I think it would have been a 5 ⭐️ read had I not listened to the audiobook version. Definitely a physical copy read!
This book was sent to me in my first year of uni by an American Catholic called Maria who I used to email with during one of my religious crisis. It's taken till this religious crisis for me to actually read it.
Wow
Been a while since I read a book that's as well written as this. The way Lewis writes, every other sentence has me stopping with "wow that's so true I have literally never thought of that before but that's so honest and funny and clever and eloquent". Incredibly wise and witty
It's a book written from the perspective of a demon/devil writing letters to his nephew, advising him how to steal a humans soul away from God for The Devil™. A fun premise to read a book that's essentially entirely sarcastic
It's difficult to know how to rank this because it's in a league of its own, both in subject matter and style. I will for certain read it again, I imagine regularly throughout the rest of my life. Whether or not you 'believe' (and therefore take it literally or figuratively) this book has profound advice on morality and ways of being.
