Very interesting concept and perspective. I especially liked the last quarter of the book, roughly from the part where C.S Lewis was talking about God’s relationship with time (using both Boethius’ ideas and Screwtape as a means to do so). I would say, however, this is quite hard to follow - I am talking as someone who has in depth knowledge of Christianity and I am familiar with Christian traditions, teachings etc. In some places, I felt as though I had read a whole chapter and wasn’t sure what was going on. I don’t think this is solely because of the dated language. C.S Lewis’ points are sort of drawn out when they could be written more succinctly. Lewis definitely redeemed himself somewhat in the last quarter but I would like to read it again in the future to hopefully understand more.

Definitely one to reread/listen every year or so.
John Cleese's audio book version really does justice to the character of Screwtape.
