A great classic! I understood what C.S. Lewis was saying & it was very much still relevant today. Now I want to read all of his books! Such an interesting perspective on life.

This is one of my favorite C. S. Lewis books. It is a satire written in defense of Christian faith. It includes 31 letters from Screwtape (an experienced devil) to Wormwood (devil in training). Screwtape instructs Wormwood on effective strategies for temping the human he was assigned to. The goal is for him to continue in a steady path toward damnation. Due to church attendance and a faithful Christian woman, the efforts of Screwtape and Wormwood are defeated when their subject dies in a bombing raid with his soul at peace. Through his satiric use of the demonic narrative persona, Lewis examines the opposing sides in the battle between good and evil.
