What a great steak of a book! No fluff whatsoever but instead I feel stuffed and full of deep and profound concepts and portrayal of the “other side.” C.S. Lewis packed this book with seemingly limitless quotes and gems you could think on for days. One of the best is, “Indeed the safest road to Hell is the gradual one—the gentle slope, soft underfoot, without sudden turnings, without milestones, without signposts.” So true!

I would give it four stars, but I know that when I read it again (because I'm going to have to read it at least a few more times to understand all it contains and benefit from Lewis's wisdom) I will want to give it five stars. Call me a lazy reviewer. But this is a fantastic, extremely thought-provoking, soul-search-inducing book.

Always great, and there's always more to learn, no matter how many times I read it.
