Who knew Cowboys were so lovable?

Roped In was hot. Again, had no idea I would like a western like this. In it, you will meet London and Sutton. Of course, this whole "relationship" started off with a favor. However, since I'm not new to this whole situation, it was pretty easy to see where things were going to head. Yes, they had obvious chemistry that didn't come to light until they started hanging out with one another. Then things got spicier and hotter between them - which I approved of everything instantly.

In the end, they got their little HEA. It was adorable and kept me intrigued from start to finish. Will definitely look into the rest of the series next year.

Book 6.5 in Blacktop Cowboys by Lorelei James.
Sutton Grant is the gentleman Bulldogger that got given the nickname The Saint because he was a perfect gentleman and didn’t make his way through the rodeo buckle bunnies. After he’s injured he struggles to decide what to do with his life but know he needs help with his demon horse that is a champion but very badly behaved when not focused on the job.
London is a horse trainer and trained Sutton’s horse. So when Sutton turns up at a horse show asking for help London offers a deal. Pretend to be her boyfriend so people don’t pitty her after been dumped by txt and for tiara wearing rodeo queen.
I absolutely loved that London is a strong but a little mouthy character that says what she thinks but I adore that Sutton loves that too.
Can not find a better cowboy author in my eyes absolutely love LJ and if you want to try read Rough Riders first then Blacktop

After a life-threatening injury, bulldogger Sutton Grant knows that his career is over, but his horse, Dial, is another matter. The only one who can help the stubborn gelding is premier horse trainer, London Gradsky. Unfortunately, Sutton and London have a problematic past, but she is willing to put aside their conflict if he does her a little favor - pretend to her ex-boyfriend that she and Sutton are now a couple.

Series note: This novella is part of the 1001 Nights project and can be read as a standalone within the Blacktop Cowboys series.

Sutton and London's "pretend relationship" agreement has potential, but London's reasons for wanting it are childish and even idiotic. Sutton, on the other hand, is a charming hero, and his obvious respect for women in general, and London in particular is a huge turn-on. They have a strong emotional and physical connection despite some questionable dialogue - "lurve", really?

The horse training elements could have been more developed, but this is a novella and there is only so much page space.

Overall, a light and entertaining read despite the somewhat immature heroine and silly dialogue.

Awe! I love when the woman is the aggressor. London sees Sutton again after a few years and the chemistry blew up!

Oh Sutton played coy for a little while but he couldn’t resist the sexy woman for long.

I liked how there was some drama because this story just kind of needed it.

I really liked the narration. 

*You don't have to like my review but its 100% my opinion, and I am allowed to have it.*

This was good and I bumped it up for the erotic element for those that like a little hotness. I forgot how quickly and much sex is a part of the story even though she puts in the wants of the characters too. We get a new career choice for our male that fits just right but he keeps it from everyone for the longest time and I didn't understand that. Unless he was questioning his decision which didn't seem like it. Or maybe he was flighty in his youth and he didn't want to get people's hopes up. But he didn't sound like that man and he is grown now so doesn't make as much sense. Still it was really good.
