3.5 ⭐️ = Quite Good.
Hardback.
This is often not my favourite genre but I quite enjoyed this to be honest. Harmless fun with likeable characters.
A very easy read that had me chuckling at times.
Don’t expect a complicated plot - instead just go along for the ride! My only downside was the rather abrupt ending, and I think it would have been a 4* read if it had been tweaked a little.
Please be aware that this is part of a series.

Read it in less than a day. Hilarious and a perfect feel-good read.

So this was my second Sophie Kinsella book, and whew, I have thoughts.

First off, Sophie Kinsella is an amazing writer because she elicited all the right emotions from me. I was mad. Like seriously pissed off at the main character, Becky. She came off so self-absorbed, entitled, selfish, and just incredibly immature. It felt like everything had to revolve around her, and when things didn’t go her way? Instant tantrum. I kept thinking, “nobody asked you to throw this party, girl. Why are we all suffering because of your decision?”

What really frustrated me was how Becky would get mad at other people for things she herself was doing. The hypocrisy was wild! But even with all the frustration, I couldn’t put the book down. I needed to know how it would end. Would she grow? Would things work out? What was going on in her marriage?

Speaking of that, her husband seemed so emotionally distant, and I kept wondering, “do these two even talk?” He clearly loved her, but their communication (or lack of it) was surprising. Still, it made for an interesting subplot.

In the end, this was a really engaging read. Even though Becky drove me up a wall, the fact that I felt so strongly is a credit to Kinsella’s writing. If you can get past your feelings about Becky, I think you’ll enjoy this book. 👌

Беше изключително забавна с много нелепи (в добрият смисъл) моменти, но като цяло историята не беше силна.

Hummm, this was my least favorite book out of this series. It was slow and had way too much fluff. The endish part was the best. Don't know decide how much you want to dedicate to this...

Not my favourite book in the series but still love the character’s and there were a few parts where I actually laughed out loud. It’s just a feel good series for some light reading.

This series was okay. I probably rated it a little bit higher than it deserved. This final book was just annoying which was a pain because it is also the longest book in the series by almost 100 pages. The title barely had anything to do with the plot of the story, which was Becky planning a surprise party for Luke (who is still a bland character). I'm very glad to be finished with this series. While some parts were entertaining, overall it was blah. The protagonist never learned their lesson which really just made this six book series pointless.

The Shopaholic series have always been a guilty pleasure of mine. However, I wasn´t crazy about this one. I think I am just sick of reading about her ridiculous shopping habits. Sophie Kinsella, time to write about a new topic.
