Beautifuly written but absolutely heartbreaking l. The story is honest, raw and confrontational.
Needed to pace myself with this one, it's a heavy read.

Moderate: Child abuse and Sexual assault

The description of “sexuality and humiliating ‘accidents’” does not begin to explain what this book actually contains. I believe it should have a warning for those who have experienced sexual abuse as a child, lest it trigger them.
Saying that, this memoir was an insight into Alan Davies that I did not expect when I purchased the book and it has left me both heartbroken for the little boy he was, and with a deeper respect and awe for the man he has become despite what has happened to him.

A difficult read with very dark subject matter. Repetition and jumping time lines made it somewhat difficult to figure out the chronology
