This was a good ending to the series. I enjoyed the multiple POV’s and wanted to strangle some characters more than others. After reading the second book, and not enjoying it as much, I expected the same thing for this last book. I was mistaken and happy for it too. Some of the plot twists were entertaining and some were predictable. Very enjoyable read for me!

I was very excited whenever I was notified that I had won the giveaway for this book, so thank you to Goodreads and the author/publishing company for making this opportunity available for me!

Overall, this book had everything. The plot was amazing; the characters were very well-rounded and likable; the plot twists were many and unpredictable. It had the world-building, the romance, the perspectives that should be expected from such a popular series, and in my opinion, was a very fitting conclusion (with places that it could still be continued on if that's where the author later ends up taking it). For the majority of readers who have been looking forwards to its release, this book will clearly satisfy and go beyond expectations.

For me (I can be a bit pickier with YA than the typical reader), however, there were a few slight problems that prevented it from reaching above 4 stars. Personally, I just have felt more hooked in by the concepts and plot of the original book in the Cursebreakers series (A Curse So Dark and Lonely) than I quite have with the last two. I was really enamored with the aesthetic and concept of this retelling as it was displayed originally and began to lose interest as it carried on. It's not quite the characters (I love Lia Mara and Grey) but it just didn't quite reach the vision I had in both A Heart So Fierce and Broken and A Vow So Bold and Deadly for what we could see from these character's perspectives, and I almost wish a bit more liberty was taking in making these books and characters feel unique in a way.

And then there is Rhen... The author does a wonderful job of playing with both Harper's (and the reader's) feelings towards him throughout all three novels, which is a sign of good writing, but that leaves me wondering how I truly view him in the conclusion. This book definitely builds upon Rhen's character, but I truly couldn't tell how I felt about his arc by the end. He was a character that I truly thought was becoming likable in A Curse So Dark and Lonely, but after the events in the second book, I don't think he's the kind of character that is redeemable, even if the author was attempting otherwise at points.

To summarize, readers won't regret picking up this book, but the story isn't the most unique and outstanding that it could be.

It’s about the brothers. That’s the beauty of this book. That’s what made me cry so freaking hard. Sobbing. It pissed me off frankly. Kept interfering with my reading! Ugh. So goddamned wonderful. This book. Jesus. I’m a mess. A weepy ruined wondrous mess of emotion. Not sure why it hit me so hard. But. Wow. So stupid good.

When I finished ‘A heart so fierce and broken’ I was a bit worried about this book because the second one had disappointed me at the beginning a little bit.
But to be honest Brigid made up for it.
I really enjoyed this book a lot and I love how the ending is that kind of “we’ll figure it out together” kind of thing rather than a proper set thing. I like the idea of it being open but still with a happy enough ending!
I also love Rhens character development and him doing what’s right for everyone around him and not for himself!
Books 2 and 3 also made me love Grey so so much and I’m really glad Brigid went through all the different characters and gave us all of their stories!
The writing could’ve been better at points but honestly I loved it anyway so I’m giving it 4 stars ⭐️

Just what I was hoping for. I'm going to miss these characters.
