Most of the care that went into this short story went over my head, but having learned more about it and knowing that it originally was the first chapter of Dracula, I thought it did a great job of being spooky and making a very Halloweeny vibe.

Anything refereing to Dracula freezes the blood in my vains, this wasn't really creepy but when he starts describing the atmosphere in the cemetery and the telegram recieved at the hotel, bad souvenirs from Dracula rose and this alone scared the hell outta me

It's not very often that I come across a short story that is as engaging as this. The description is so vivid, that when the protagonist was describing his surroundings I could feel the faintest chill.
Dracula's Guest is a must-read to all fans of the original novel.

More vampires? Yes. Dracula? Hell yes. I wish it was longer? Also yes.
I liked this so much better than the famous novel by the same author. The ending, especially wrapped up the short story perfectly. I would've given this more stars, but I guess I'm not really a big fan of Bram Stoker's style where he tended to over-explain things.
This short story seems to be just an adicional chapter to the begging of Dracula. Don't really think it's necessary for the story.
Maybe adequate if you want to test a bit of the writing style of Dracula, but this is written in first person, while the book is written by letters and diary entries.

So interesting!!! I’ve never read Bram Stoker before so now I need to put Dracula on my TBR list. Very cool style of prose that was entertaining, detailed and of course suspenseful.
