This book was a series of twists and turns that would leave you guessing everything you thought you knew. I thought I had it all figured and unexpectedly I would be thrown a twist with no warning or indication.

yet another Feeney book leaving me scratching my head after the epilogue…the thriller aspect of keeping me guessing was decent, but the “explanation” at the end made me lose all interest. it sounds like a lot of how the killer was so successful was dependent on coincidence, which i don’t personally find all that impressive when they “pull it off”.

eh it wasn’t the greatest book. it was honestly predictable once you got to a certain point. the back and forth between the characters got boring. one thing i liked is that you didn’t really have to guess what was going on because at each character POV the author gave you something intriguing. even then…the plot was stale

Holy moly. What an incredibly twisty turny ride that was. You really keep thinking you’ve figured it out but you have NOT. Highly recommend listening to this one on audiobook because the voice changer makes it extra creepy and fun. My first Alice Feeney thriller did not disappoint.
I remember liking a previous book of hers that I read years ago, but this one wasn't really for me. Many questions I had were left unanswered (questions that had nothing to do with the murders) and a lot of the book felt wildly unrealistic. The final reveal was ridiculous, did not buy that at all.
