This book is one that sucked me in right away. Small hints were dropped early on that made me want to see if my guesses were right, but the twist I could have never predicted. I echo what other reviewers have said about going in blind and let yourself be surprised.

THE GRANDMA DID IT?!?!
^ What I (internally) screamed in the last few minutes of this audiobook.
Like the other books of Feeney’s I’ve read, this one had my heart pounding and my mind working OVERTIME. What I thought was a story of revenge turned out to be so much more. And so, so good.
One star off because some of the scenes we unnecessarily graphic.

4/5 ⭐️
This was the first book I have read from this author and let me tell you, Ms. Feeney did not disappoint! This was such a twisty, turny thriller, and you never know what was going to be revealed at the end of each chapter! It was told in two point of views, His and Hers, (hint hint), but which POV do you believe?
This psych thriller gave me the same vibes as Sharp Objects by Gillian Flynn (I rated that one 5/5 ⭐️). You would think you had the mystery solved and then the next chapter would tear your whole theory apart. The chapters were very short, so you couldn’t help but say “Okay, one more chapter” after each one

Okay I was not expecting to read this in 1 day. At first, I thought this book had a lot of descriptions and not much dialogue and I honestly thought that was why it would take awhile to read this. The author did an amazing job at making you think one thing and then you find out in the next few chapters what you originally thought was WRONG. I spent the whole book guessing who the killer was and I swore this was going to be predictable, but there were a couple plot twists at the end that left my jaw on the floor. My only question is— if Mrs. Andrews was faking having dementia, she claimed she cancelled Anna’s hotel reservations so Anna would come home to her. But the last time Anna was home, she went ballistic on her and that’s why Anna stayed in the hotels. Why would she think Anna would come back?
Full of twists and turns and very sick characters! It gave me chills reading some of it. This book reminded me of a James Patterson novel the way it was written. There were a lot of cliffhangers at the ends of chapters and because of the flip flopping of points of view every other chapter, I really wanted to keep going to see what happened next. Anna and Jack are the two main points of view we hear though a third is thrown in sporadically. Jack is a detective brought into a case in a sleepy town that soon looks like a serial killer is involved in. Anna is a newscaster who is also thrown into the story. It’s soon revealed that she dealt with some pretty horrific things in her teenage years including some girls who had deep issues. Things start intertwining in the story between Jack and Anna and we see a lit of connections. Who is killing these women and what is the motive? You won’t know until the very end!
Oh, one more thing- did anyone else who read this picture Priya looking like Marcy from Charlie Brown? Every time she called Jack “Sir” which was a LOT of the time, that’s all I could picture!!!!

This one keeps you guessing all the way to the end. Just when you think you figured out who the nameless narrator is, you find out you are wrong.
