TW: animal abuse and sexual assault/rape. This was my second Alice Feeney book, and she didn't disappoint! I will say, there were a lot of plot holes though, and felt very disjointed at a handful of points. I enjoyed all the twists and turns, and she really kept me on my toes guessing who the real killer was. The animal abuse really didn't sit well with me. But it is brief, but maddening nonetheless. Oh, and up until about 100-pages in, it felt really slow, but picked up really well and kept me engaged in the story and to find out what the hell was really happening.
