The story is written as excerpts of interviews from multiple viewpoints. I think this is a fun and unique way to tell the story of all the characters from their own perspectives. The reader can see right away where the story changes based on each person's experience.

There are so many characters involved in this novel, but they are all so distinctly different from one another, you have no problem keeping them straight. Warren is the comic hero of the story. With all the dark themes, his character lightens the mood.

I started flipping to the back of the book where the lyrics of the songs are printed. Each time they mention a new song, I go back and read the lyrics. I think it helps create a better understanding of Billy and Daisy's actual feelings and emotions.

I absolutely loved reading this book. It was fun and uplifting while also being dark and self-reflecting. I hate this feeling I have connecting with Simone. It makes me sad on a personal level, but I think that's why her quotes stick with me so much.

Check the TWs if you have concerns, but I definitely-100%-recommend this book.

This is one of my favourites. I love everything about this book. If you’re a Fleetwood Mac fan, you’ll love, not only the overall aesthetic of the characters & setting but, the familiarity of Daisy & Billy’s tumultuous relationship, which echoes that of Stevie Nicks & Lindsay Buckingham. Stevie herself has now admitted how much of herself she sees in Daisy Jones.
This is always my go to recommendation for anyone in a reading slump or anyone who loves the whole 70/80s era of sex, drugs and rock ‘n’ roll.
The tv series is one of very few that does its book justice but, I think to truly appreciate this story, the beauty lies in the details within the book.

Absolutely devoured this book. TJR has a way of developing complex characters that I don’t see often and it’s very apparent in this book. Loved the ups and down that everyone went though and would love to reread with the added context of

Julie being the interviewer/author of the book.

Very fun and quick read with many emotions in between, would definitely recommend, but look at content warning just in case.

Daisy Jones and the Six is the book to read for anyone who ever went through a Fleetwood Mac phase. This book completely captures the drama, angst, magic, and appeal of what being THE rock band of the 1970s must have been. This romanticized group, at the top of the world, all struggling with the lowest lows that makes them entirely human. The thrill of young love, the appeal of fame and drugs, the heartbreak of lives that don’t align with the loves that we long for. While I usually hate live triangles, Reid did it exactly right. There was no physical affair, but the emotional connection feels even more traitorous. I wanted nothing more than for Daisy and Billy to be together, but also knew that at THAT moment, they weren’t supposed to be. Maybe it’s the fictionalization of a band I have always loved, a realistic love connection, or the world that Taylor Jenkins Reid built, but this book was able to transport me into this story. I laughed, cried, cringed, and played the Amazon soundtrack on repeat for a week. Believe the hype, and read this one!
