I loved this book! TJR has a talent for writing books that feel very real. I really enjoyed the format and listening to the audiobook because there was a full cast of characters. There was a fun twist near the end and I love thinking about how the many narrators are telling slightly different stories and may or may not be unreliable. The characters were complex and full of depth and such a joy to read about the entire time.

I didn't have any expectations going into this and I think that was very good because this book is something I could never have expected. I love the interview style and how the different interviews are mashed together to one narrative that also often contradicts itself. The whole book just felt so real and like the band really did exist. I loved the characters even though I was really annoyed by them sometimes too. This is the first book I have read in a while (party because I didn't have the time and partly because I was just in a reading slump). I couldn't stop reading. I liked the book in the beginning but then I just stopped and didn't continue for a while. When I picked it up again yesterday I kept reading until 3am and then finished it while eating breakfast. I really like it and I definitely want to read more by TJR.
I also really liked the song lyrics. I listend the the Album right after finishing the book and I like the songs, I was just a bit disappointed about how much the lyrics were changed. I need to go watch the series now.

I absolutely adored this book!! I initially picked it up for the sole purpose to help me get out of reading slump due to the format of it, and it definitely got me out of a slump! I couldn't put this down when I was reading it, I was so invested in the characters and their story line. It was so emotional to watch them go through life and their career while reflecting on everything that has happened. It was beautifully written just like every other TJR book!! I love this book, I love these characters, I loved the portrayal of friendship, love, betrayal and growth. I just loved everything about this!

The audiobook is definitely the way to go with this book.

The way the story is written through interview snippets was interesting, everyone looking back, the people that were interviewed as well as how stories differed.

Everyone felt like people, it all felt real.

I did get confused on who some people were and then remembering who they were.

Daisy Jones & The Six by Taylor Jenkins Reed tells the story of one of the biggest bands in the 1970’s. Daisy Jones & The Six played to sold out crowds from coast to coast up until July 12 ,1979 when the band split leaving their fans shocked. Nobody knew why the band had come to an end until 40 years later when a documentary is released explaining everything.

I'm so upset with myself for not reading this book sooner because I absolutely devoured it. I loved the writing and I could not get enough of the story. I forgot multiple times that I was reading a book about a fake band and it honestly breaks my heart that Daisy Jones & The six arn’t real(I mean they kinda are a real band now sooo).
The characters where so 3 dimensional, I went from loving to hate to loving them over and over again. They where all so complex and they all really showed how messy love and life is.
By the way my favorite characters are Graham and Karen, who also happen to be my favorite couple as well, and no before you ask I'm still not over how they ended.

The only reason I'm giving this book only 4 stars is because I did feel like it was a little to long and I got a little bored at moments.

Overall, I very much enjoyed this book and I've already started another book by Taylor Jenkins Reed.
