This book was gorgeous. The writing style was truly unique, and I didn’t think I’d love it but I did. Taylor is such a delightful, incredible writer. An instant-buy author.

Um WOW. This might have been the most immersive book I’ve ever read! The 70s encapsulated in every way, the good and the bad. The way it was written—in a unique sort-of magazine interview style—was really cool and made the characters seem all too real. Even with little “action” or typical descriptions, the dialogue captured everything about the band’s rise to fame, what they felt, what they pursued, who they were, who they loved. I couldn’t get over how alive TJR made each character seem, just by giving them words to say. There was so much to uncover between the lines. Never has lone dialogue conveyed so much.

Growing up listening to Fleetwood Mac and being enamored with the band’s history and relationships made this book even more fascinating for me. You can clearly tell the inspiration is there, the similarities between Daisy and Stevie and Billy and Lindsey, etc., but it still felt like its own thing. I’m so excited for the show adaptation because I desperately need the band to be real. And the lyrics! Ugh they’re beautiful.

This book is hyped for a reason. Believe it.

4.5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐ It was a great roller coaster ride. I am glad to have dive into the world of one of the famous band. I have never imagined how bands starts and what steps shall be take in order to keep the fame, flare, going... And forming a band, it isn't just about the lyrics and the emotions they bring, it's about the story behind their artwork and how they always struggle to keep the fire burning.

Along the way, there will be a huge lump. The road will be hella bumpy. And they did a lot of things to keep their heads on their dreams.

I commend Camila, Karen, and Daisy for raising the bar high up and not letting these men get in their way— specifically in their opinions, views, principles....

Wow. I really wasn’t expecting this book. It was beautiful and heartbreaking. The writing was like a masterclass in dialogue, and the character development, both good and bad, was subtle but profound. I’m really awestruck by this book. And I’m so happy I listened to the audiobook. Often times I feel that an audiobook can only be as good as the physics copy, and usually makes up for in ease of use what it falls short of in quality. However, I don’t think I would have enjoyed the story the same way had I read it on the page. The use of a cast with different voices but such raw emotional voice acting really made this book shine. Of course, when dialogue is written as well and as realistically as Reid writes, it’s hard to imagine an audiobook like this falling short.

And the story was really stunning. My favourite love stories are the ones that never happen. They are heartbreaking in their incomplete state, but leave no cliffs to hang from.

Anyway, in other words, I loved this book. What a privilege to have gotten to read it.

Although it was fun, fast and enjoyable, I didn't rate it higher because I didn't like Daisy much. Idk she just annoyed me and the story was not as good as Seven husbands of Evelyn Hugo. Also some stuff mentioned in the book was just so repetitive and in your face. I know the author wanted to talk about some important topics like women's freedom to do what they want with their life and bodies but when the message that she wants to give is told directly over and over, it doesn't have the same impact as the first time. So I did enjoy this book to some extent but there were many things that I didn't like as well.
