I wasn’t sure how the author could expand this world more, but she did so in a way that worked perfectly with this series. I have loved Farli throughout and was afraid seeing her resonate to one of the guys on the tribe would have an ick factor since she was younger when the series first started. Instead, her perfect mate wasn’t from her world at all.

Mardok seems to be the same species as Farli and the other sa-khui so it was interesting to find out things about them that have been lost to time for the small band of sa-khui who live on not-Hoth. The sa-khui may not fully understand the implications of these three outsiders landing on their planet, but the humans sure do. There are bound to be problems in the future because of this emergency landing, but at least Farli found her HEA.

Farli and Mardok are interesting together because of her naivete about anything outside of her world. Yet, because Mardok didn’t watch Farli grow up and only knows her as an adult, he never underestimates her or treats her like a child. There are times when he could have because of her lack of knowledge, but he quickly learns she is a strong and independent person who can easily take care of herself. Mardok underestimates the sa-khui as a whole as they seem primitive to him, but he learns that they are happy and he craves that happiness and acceptance they all have.

I really enjoyed this story but, as I said, there could be a lot of trouble in the future because of things that happened here.
