I enjoyed this as a sequel to The Family Upstairs. While I was not as invested in the story (lack of mystery, ability to surprise), I still enjoyed the ride. I liked seeing where all of our characters from book 1 end up, i liked the amount of drama, and I liked the ending.

Beetje dezelfde vibes als boek 1. Het was oké, niet heel spannend. Las wel lekker weg. Denk door de hoeveelheid aan verhaallijnen en de verschillende jaren waarin deze verhaallijnen zich afspeelden dat het toch wat onduidelijker en rommeliger was.

I got this audiobook from the library as I've read books from this author before. I spent most of the book trying to figure out who was who to whom. Then I came to Goodreads to mark that I was reading it and first realized that this was the second in a series and I hadn't read the first one. That might have helped quite a bit. As it was, not exactly stand alone. Not the book's fault, but why does my library app not indicate books in a series, hmmmm.
