i went into this one knowing i was either really going to like it or really going to dislike it. i'm happy to report that i really liked it! this was a WILD ride and i devoured every second of it. i think i like this one slightly better than "the family upstairs," but i enjoyed both books. i think i've found a new favorite author!

A solid sequel, I enjoyed reading more about the original story. Doesn’t have the same mystery/thriller quality as the first book, felt more like a book about people struggling with a side of mystery. The Rachel/Michael storyline was wholly depressing. As always with the author, great writing, easy to get lost in.
