It was not bad, it took until page 151 for me to become actually invested in it. There were some cool twists but all in all it was kinda anticlimactic. But bad though. Happy I read it, happy I finished it

I was always on the edge of my seat, waiting for what will happen next. I loved the ending and cannot wait until the I get the chance to read the next book.

Intense. Lots of interesting characters, twisting and curving plots, strange emotional relationships that are difficult to understand, and one Gretchen Lowell. I can see why so many people enjoy this thriller/mystery series - it's also refreshing to see a woman as the "bad guy" instead of the victim for a change.

I listened to this on audio, which had very good narration, but I had a hard time staying focused b/c of other happenings in my life at the time of reading.

If you have a hard time with violence, there are definitely scenes that will make you clench your fists and squirm a little. I think it was harder to listen to the narration of these scenes than it would have been if I had experienced it in print form.

This to me had its good points and low points. I say good instead of high because I don't find there were any high points. I'm usually all about thriller crime but this felt very drawn out and all over the place. There were too many things going on at once and it just left me confused for a long time. It did finally toe things together, but I was super happy with all of it. I don't think I'll be reading the rest of the series.

I love criminal minds style shows so this was that in book form. Needs a bit more character development. I feel like a lot of the book was focused on the environment and describing the way people looked but not so much the characters themselves.
