Big fan of Baldacci. I picked this book up because I enjoyed the TV series with these characters. I was not disappointed.
adventurous challenging emotional funny hopeful informative mysterious tense medium-paced
Plot or Character Driven: A mix
Strong character development: Yes
Loveable characters: Yes
Diverse cast of characters: Complicated
Flaws of characters a main focus: Complicated

I enjoyed this, but since the TV series with it's totally mis-cast characters aired, I can never read the books the same way. Only Edgar seems the same, but that may only be me seeing him that way. Still, this book was simpled down and yet very enjoyable. Not up to the par of what Baldacci is capable of, but still a nice distraction from life. I enjoyed it. I only wish he could have done a better job of the TV series, I mean, seriously, what a joke!

great story with Baldacci at his best. King and Maxwell are definitely favorite characters of mine.

Another great Baldacci mystery!

My second Baldacci book, and I didn't realise it was part of a series. I liked the banter between the 2 main characters the best and would be interested in reading some of the previous books, although maybe now I'm aware of some major spoilers. The plot was OK....not terribly interested in all the politics, but it wasn't a bad book. No "Jack Reacher" but not bad.

second book I've read in this series by Baldacci. I liked it but not as much as the first one. Still good for a quick read! I'll keep reading the other books in this series.

The build up was good but I felt the ending was really lacking. The revenge angle was good, but in the end it was just to control the Presidential car was in my opinion disappointing. I would have thought there would be some greater plan undertaken.

Action packed, some scary cybermania, lots of guns & explosions. I wonder how Baldacci thinks up some of his wild plots and schemes. I guess it could be closer to the truth than we might like to think!
