What I liked best in this story was the introduction of storyline outside of the US. King and Maxwell did not go there, but it did give the reader/listener a more to envision. Hope there are some cases that take them out to new areas where they will have have to learn to investigate in newer situations.

It's a good thing I don't t read reviews before starting a book, because many of them were tepid for this novel. I'm not sure why, because King and Maxwell was ripe with suspense, a complicated plot (but not overly so), and enough twists to really keep the reader engaged. You never know at any given point if the CIA, DIA, and FBI can be trusted. You don't know who's in on it, and until the last few chapters, you don't even know the target of the plot. You're pretty sure that Sam Wingo is a good guy, and that King and Maxwell will save the day, or die trying. A thrilling, quick read that a thoroughly enjoyed.

My husband and I were on a road trip and wanted something other than the radio to listen to. This was a good choice as we both found it interesting. We didn't know it was the sixth book in a series, but that didn't affect our experience at all.

3 1/2 stars. I'm so glad Edgar is joining the team!

I didn't really love it. It was an okay book for me. I feel like if this was a movie or a TV series it would have been better. I think so mainly because the style is so similar for every book in the series that there was nothing refreshing or newness I could find in the book. But for someone who have not read any book in the series this might be great.

I'm getting a little tired of all of these revenge conspiracy theories. I keep reading and waiting for King and Maxwell to just get together.

This one took a while to read. Definitely not my favourite one in the series.
