“You’re my home, Hayati. I love you in this dunya and the akhira. Until Jennah reunites us.”
i have a lot of mixed feelings about this book, and i'm still unsure of my rating. it was enjoyable, and it had potential, but it didn't give because of the amount of cons it has. i really don't know how to feel about this.
first off, i liked how hayat was represented a bit differently, watching her internal struggles with her weight. everything anas would say would make me giggle and blush.
anas and hayat's scenes were a bit too spicy to be associated with a halal romance. it's the way the author tried to "halalify" wattpad worthy scenes and now it's considered "halal" because the protagonists are muslims just baffles me.
zahia and faiza are weakass bitches who deserve to get run over by a car. i literally predicted that zahia would somehow come throughout the story but the "villian arc" was giving me second-hand embarassment. also, the way hayat and faiza reconciled so fast will never make sense to me it seems the author was just trying to get that over with without any valid closure. zahia coming into the story was NOT necessary, she was beyond annoying.
OMG OMG OMGGGGGGG!!!
I never thought i would say anything like this, but anas knocked out all the other book boyfriends. ALL THE OTHER ONES. I JUST NEED MY OWN ANAS NOW!!!!!

3.5 stars.
This is obviously a beginning debut novel, which is why I won’t really talk about the bad aspects of the book. Just for a heads up for anyone who’s willing to read it, there is a lot of grammatical and orthographic mistakes, sometimes it takes a while to understand who’s speaking thru the dialogues and the characters description were very repetitive. Also, the ending was a bit too fast for my liking. I didn’t get why the ex wife suddenly appeared and then disappeared without a trace, lol. Anyways, I would like to concentrate on the good feels this book brought me.
This book ultimately reminded me how much Islam is beautiful and how lucky I am to be a muslim.
