I wish I could get back the hours I wasted reading this book. Absolute waste of time. Skimmed through this book so I can read Rae's book. I wish I skipped this book.

I think I have come to the conclusion that I don't like rockstar romances. So therefore I am giving this three stars. I won't lie this book had its moments and the smut was amazing but idk I guess I'm not a fan. Idk if this is due to a reading slump or what but I just wasn't hooked. That being said I loved the reveal at the end. It was definitely not like anything I have read before so having that big reveal was amazing. Also I like the step-sibling trope but I just couldn't get into this book so idk.

Loved it

This was my first read by fiona cole and it didnt disappoint this book was everything! Im not a big fan of books that go back and forth between past and present but i dont mind it when its needed to explain the story, going back to the past in this is relevant to the story you need it to understand what happened and where the characters are now and how they end up... The slow burn, the angst, the drama, the steam oh my god the steam! Fiona can definitely write some hot scenes!!! I cant wait to dive into more books by fiona.
Parker...... hot! hot! hot! Rockstar with a soft side whats not to love!
Nova....... amazing especially after we she went through

Blame it on the Tequila is a second chance romance, that you don’t want to miss.
This book is heartbreaking and hilarious.
I was addicted to it from the very first page.

"The boy I loved sat before me, indecision and guilt weighing on him, holding him down in an awkward position that looked ill-fitting. The boy I loved, whose dream he worked so hard for, sat there unable to be happy, and I loved him enough to absolve him and push him to take that dream."

⚡Slow Burn
⚡Stepbrother
⚡ANGST
⚡Mild Voyeurism

Nova is creative and wild.
She has a painful past that causes her to live a private life.

“With each broken promise, I frayed a little more, leaving gaps for the resentment and anger to slip in.”

Parker is a rockstar.
He has great intentions, but his dreams are clouding his judgment.

"No, Parker. I need space because I expected you to not choose your job over me every single time, and apparently, you aren’t capable of it. How many more times am I going to have to step aside for your job? Will you leave me behind again because your job is more important? Will I be left to the wolves again while you achieve your dreams?”

The obstacles Parker and Nova go through are messy, and when they finally get shit together, their love is EXPLOSIVE.

I received a ARC in exchange for an honest

The plot was...basic. It wasn’t bad but it was just like any other “I knew you before you were a rockstar” romance. However, that one chapter, in the hotel, GIRL. It gave me serious Corrupt vibes by PD (yes, the sauna, IYKYK)

Wow, just wow.......with all the feels!!!!

"If this was love, then I'd take it. Because having her in my arms right now was all I ever needed, and I never wanted to let that go."

This angsty, slow burn rockstar romance had me so invested from the very first chapter to the epilogue with a story that intrigued me, captivated me and seduced me. Parker and Nova had to fight, fight for what they wanted, fight for their relationship and that raw, forbidden, tension filled attraction was the driving force for an explosive, all consuming love that was truly a beautiful journey.

"I can give those moments of space-as long as you always come back to me. And promise to take me with you, even if it's only in your heart."

If you haven't read any books from Fiona Cole I highly recommend you rectify that now and grab this emotional, steamy, must read book about second chances, bestfriends and all the swoony feels!!!

“You know what? Fuck it,” he said, stepping closer. “I went with her because if I stayed with you, I’d have taken you to that back room, and that can’t happen.”

I love trying a new to me Author! Fiona Cole, you also gave me one of my favorite kind of stories! This story has so much and more. Rockers, Second Chance, Best Friend Romance, Dark, Forbidden! This was such a slow burn that it was giving me hot flashes, or maybe that’s just the change of life? I don’t want to say much because I’m afraid I’ll give it all away. I could just gush over and over about this story.

If you like any of the tropes mentioned above give this story a read today!
