Nova Nova she was just something i wasnt expecting, she was so great in every aspect. I love reading about powerful women who are going to do there own thing. Cole left her and we think thats it but nope Fiona wound us right back up and tossed some up hill emotional battle between the two. it was a very powerful story. I loved the journey these two took to get to one another. Beautiful story.

I was NOT prepared for Nova and Parker. I didn’t think Jake and Jackson (from [b:Lovers|42944012|Lovers (Voyeur, #2)|Fiona Cole|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1543081330l/42944012._SY75_.jpg|63450459]) could be dethroned as my favorite Fiona Cole couple, but I think Naughty Nova and Parker Callahan just did it.

Nova and Parker share a deep connection that’s like nothing I’ve ever read before. Their past experiences laid the groundwork for an amazing love story but they faced too many obstacles along the way to make it a reality until they’re brought back together in the most unexpected way five years later.

Nova Hearst is kind of an unknown - she keeps herself closed off, even to her best friends Rae and Vera and does her own thing. I feel like I spent a lot of time trying to figure out her and her motivations but quickly learned that she’s only really herself when she’s around Parker and the guys in the band...the people who have known her for so long, before she had anything to be afraid of.

Parker Callahan is legitimately one of the nicest, sweetest guys I’ve ever read, but there’s some bad boy hidden in there - I mean, he’s the lead singer in a band...he can’t be squeaky clean! He’s so passionate about his music and he feels like he continually needs to prove himself and his worth as a musician even after he’s been so successful. He knows everything about Nova and is dedicated to showing her that they belong together and she doesn’t have to be afraid anymore.

These two belong together. It’s so clear every time they interact, even when they’re hesitant toward each other, that they know each other better than anyone else ever could. And, while this story is slow-burn, the moments that they finally come together are so incredibly steamy, it makes all the waiting worth it. Nova and Parker have unmistakable chemistry and their connection burns through the pages.

At times in this book I was kind of annoyed that we were missing a piece of Nova and Parker’s backstory...the piece that would make everything come together. But I couldn’t think of anything that could have been bad enough to tear them apart and cause such a rift in their relationship. It kept me flipping through the pages as fast as I could to figure it out and never in a million years could I have predicted what had happened all those years ago, but I felt like I understood Nova and Parker’s relationship so much better once it finally came to light.

The Haunted Obsession guys are maybe my new obsession...keeping my fingers crossed that this isn’t the last time we’ll hear from Ash, Oren and Brogan. They were a fantastic addition to this story to lighten the mood and bring Nova and Parker together. Each of them have such interesting, funny, big personalities that make you want to know more about them even though they’re just side characters. I think they all deserve to find a love like Nova and Parker’s (hint, hint Fiona if you’re trying to figure out your next series!).

Blame it on the Tequila was the rockstar, step sibling romance novel I never knew I needed in my life. I can’t wait to see what the next book in the series will bring...with Rae, there’s no telling where it’ll go!
