This book essentially has four types of scenes: action, good guys, bad guys, and weird interactions between the good and bad guys. I happen to like these four scenes and think this was done decently well, although the first half was stronger and I would happily chop 70-odd pages out of the middle. It’s fine! Perfectly serviceable King book.

I'll come back to this later. I just don't have time for it. There are other books than these 😂

It was good but it started becoming a slog to read after the halfway point. It feels as if some chapters weren't necessary and that taking them out would be less of a slugfest.

It's pretty slow, but its a good story. Certainly not my favorite from King tho.

This was…fine? It’s not a bad horror book but it’s a pretty mediocre Stephen King book. It could definitely benefit from about 50 pages being eliminated, and the characters are all unusually boring for King. When the standard is Pet Sematary, The Stand, It, etc. this one just falls kind of flat.
