Everything about this book kept me on my toes and honestly, all I can say is Stephen King did it again. DO NOT WATCH THE MOVIE ADAPTATION IT WILL MAKE YOU VERY VERY ANGRY. My god it was garbage.

I think this is one of my least favorite King books so far. Just found it kind of slow and boring.

(Lydbog)

I love the story of Charlie McGee and her daddy...and the government agency that wants to own them and ultimately kill them.

And at the risk of repeating myself, Stephen King is the best storyteller alive today.

Sadly I didn't enjoy this one as much as I expected to early on, it starts strong with a dad and daughter duo with psychic powers escaping from an obscure government agency, but I was pretty much checked out by the last third, I just wasn't on board with where King takes things, and somehow it might be the most stereotype-filled novel of his I've read yet. Not entirely a waste, but I had higher expectations.

I pictured Charlie like the girl in Hereditary??? Slightly abrupt ending, predictable but satisfying.
