It was okay. I just hated the long chapters as I am the kind of person who cannot put a book down halfway through a chapter. Nothing interesting happened. It didn't keep me hooked.
Meh. Unlike a lot of people, I wasn't expecting this to be like the Oz books, but it still wasn't as great as I hoped.
I did not enjoy this. There was too much going on and none of it was very interesting.
I am not a fan of this writing style. It's just very rambling and confusing and jumps around like crazy so I felt like I was barely following the story. The humor is also not to my taste, and the characters overly quirky.
this book had so much potential but it fell way short of what i was expecting and it was a crazy stupid ending!!
Not my favourite Gregory Maguire book, but I still enjoyed this, it actually had me quite scared in parts, and I didn't see the 'twist' coming at all.
I found the story oddly entrancing, even as I didn't much like any of the characters or entirely understand why I cared what happened to them. I purchased it because I wanted to be absorbed, and I was.
I like to consider myself an intelligent and insightful reader, but I could not make heads or tails of this piece of absolute rubbish. I read, and found mildly interesting (if not very enjoyable), Maguire's earlier _Wicked_. I read and actually enjoyed his _Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister_. I read and absolutely hated his _Mirror, Mirror_. ... But at least I had a clue what _Mirror, Mirror_ was supposed to be about. _Lost_ read like Maguire threw darts at a dictionary and put the pinned words on the page without any editing whatsoever. What a waste of my time and energy!
