i used to really really like this book when i was in like 3rd-4th grade so i decided to reread it and GOD. the characters are so annoying. mostly faro. i can't stand faro. and i can't fathom why sapphy likes him so much besides just the pull of the sea because he seems to only like her half the time. maybe less. the characters are always fighting it gets a bit annoying. but i do like the ocean
