A lot of fun
I am always down for a new take on vampires and I wasn’t disappointed with this. (I don’t think you could ever be disappointed with Penelope Bloom though.) As I already said, this book was a lot of fun.

A silly story
This is the story of Cara and her introduction to the world of vampires. It's silly and sweet with a little spice thrown in for good measure. A light read for sure, but entertaining.
When Cara's clumsiness releases three vampires from imprisonment, she unknowingly gets involved in wacky vamp politics and develops a bond with one of her new friends. This new bond leads to some forced proximity issues with hot guy, Lucien, and other uncomfortable scenarios with a hairy old guy named Vlad, whom likes to poke things a lot.
Silliness all around. A cute story, perfect for those days when you need a gentle distraction.

This book is funny funny. My cheek muscles are sore from all the smiling I’ve done reading it. So fluffy and lighthearted. All of the supernatural elements are these tiny sarcastic twists on classic aspects of vampire lore. The humor in this book is just top notch. The characters are all a touch superficial, but oh so loveable. I’m actually a touch disappointed this isn’t part of a series as I would happily read any of the side characters love stories.
