I LOVED this book. It is a hilarious and touching view into the neurodivergent mind while still being a great coming of age story. It was hard to put down and I laughed out loud many times many times while I read it. I could see myself in many of the comic misunderstandings.
This book was an absolute pleasure to read. Tilly and Oliver are just adorable.
The pairing could not be more perfect. I loved how they discovered each other, what they are capable of doing, how having ADHD or being autistic is not a hindrance to getting everything they want, and learning to fall in love and sharing their love for the first time.
Truly, truly lovely.

I received an advanced copy of this book through NetGalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review. I haven't read Eddings' books before, but I was thoroughly charmed by the main and secondary characters, for the most part. While not that familiar with neuro divergent challenges, I really appreciated the Own Voices look at living with ADHD and autism. Tilly has ADHD and was only diagnosed in high school. While her parents seemed supportive, I really struggled with the way her mom treated her during most of the book.
She travels to London for a summer in Europe, helping her older sister Mona's nail polish business. Tilly meets her seat mate, who turns out to be the design intern Oliver. Oliver has autism but the two don't start relating and connecting right away, so they operate on misunderstandings, and its frustrating for them and the reader. Once they do admit their conditions and admit they like each other, it goes much smoother. Oliver is hyper focused on color and sees the world through Pantone shades. I adored his twin sister Cubby and band mates. Tilly has no idea what kind of job to get after high school and is dead set against college because of how she struggled in high school with ADHD. I was really frustrated by her mom treating her like a misbehaving child but expecting her to make adult decisions about her life and trying to control the path she goes on. The one path Tilly is really good at is writing, and her mom tells her it isn't a real job. I'm glad Tilly was able to prove her mom wrong and find something that she's good at to build her confidence, skills, and future success. However, this may be triggering to readers.
The romance was sweet and fade to black love scenes, so fairly PG 13 or so rated. I adored Oliver and Tilly together. 4/5☆ out August 15, 2023.

What an absolute delight! This book was cute and heartwarming from start to finish, and I absolutely loved the representation not just of neurodiversity but of all the little differences that make people who they most. I also feel like I would really, really like to follow Ollie's Instagram account (can someone create one please). Fantastic rom-com, not just for teens.
No banging. Wanted more, but didn’t feel like the main characters should.
Amazing. The author did an excellent job portraying both adhd and autism, as well as common challenges in traveling, communicating, believing in oneself, and family ties. I loved (but didn't 100% believe) the family reconciliation at the end, when the mom saw and admitted how wrong she was, making amends and attempting to do better. I liked how simple the fight resolved, as so many romcoms stretch out the fight unbelievably long and tedious. Simple, straight to the point, just a matter of miscommunication due to different communication styles from different neurodivergent brain functioning individuals.
This book was so cute. A girl with ADHD who blows through life like a natural disaster- they call her Tornado Tilly - and a boy with autism - Oliver, who has a special obsession with color theory, meet on a flight to London that is nothing but a disaster. Tilly is going to work as an intern for her sister’s small company, and as it turns out, so is Oliver.
So begins a really sweet enemies to friends to romance story between two neurodivergent 18 year olds. I feel the author treated both conditions, very accurately, and painted a good picture of what it might be like to be two neurodivergent individuals falling in love. Would highly recommend if you or someone you know and love has a neurodivergent condition. ❤️
