It's an enjoyable book, and the writing is improved since The Housemates. But some plot points were predictable, and that last chapter was pretty draining.
Graphic: Murder and Violence
Moderate: Rape

A great read, went into it with some expectations but it quickly blew those out of the water. One of the few books I've read lately that I didn't want to put down. Would definitely recommend, does have massive trigger warnings tho, so reader beware.
Moderate: Violence
Minor: Rape and Vomit

How well do you really know your coworkers? Cheryl is about to find out way, way more than she ever wanted to know, in the escape room from hell. This is my second Iain Rob Wright book and I had a lot of fun with it. His books are compulsively readable; they always make me want to keep turning the pages to find out what happens next. Escape! would make a great movie and is written in such a way that it basically played out that way in my head.
Moderate: Rape

Another down from the Iain Rob Wright library. Escape is a story similar to The Housemates, in that it's a group of people trapped while someone secretly takes revenge on them. Cheryl is a new employee at a tiling sales company when she is invited by Maggie to a weekend getaway hosted by her manager. It turns out to be an escape room, but the stakes are higher than they thought.
I felt like the pacing and structure of the book was well-developed but I didn't like any of the characters. Not even Cheryl. She was naive and clumsy and got herself into more drama because of her actions. I liked the gradual reveal of the secrets behind the room and how it was all run.
The conclusion of the story was a nice twist and I liked the ending a lot. Hoping some other books by the author are enjoyable.
