This was ok. The ending wasn't what I expected at least.
Jane Eyre meets Gone Girl. Pretty good reimagining of the classic book.
Ich fand das Buch wirklich gut und interessant. Man ist sich bis zum Ende nicht sicher wer jetzt was getan hat und warum und ich mochte auch, dass es nicht wirklich einen unschuldigen in der Geschichte gab.
did I just read this in one setting? yes. did it remind me of verity? also yes. was it a page turning thriller which was great to read? YES

The first half dragged for me. I was positive the ending would be unsatisfying, and none of my questions would be answered. Then BAM plot twist(s). Okay, you got me. Not my favorite book ever, but I’m glad I stuck it out to the end.

I actually give this 4.5 stars but since there are no halfsies - I went with 4.
I really enjoyed reading this book- I definitely didn’t guess the ending right away but about 3/4 in I had a hunch of what had maybe happened but still didn’t know completely.
I do wish they would’ve went into a little more depth about how much Emily and Campbell knew- I could imagine them knowing more. They would start to talk about things and then would stop and that was that which kind of annoyed me.
I liked the different perspectives from the characters in the book. Sometimes I feel like it can be confusing when it goes back and forth but this was super easy to follow.
Overall really enjoyed this book :)
