I am not particularly fond of Vonnegut or fiction. I just picked up this book because a recent news story about Chinese trawlers destroying the marine ecosystem off Argentina reminded me of some snippets from this book. Which is as absurd a reason to pick up this story as the story itself.

Too random, absurd and half baked for me. There would be a real sci-fi novel somewhere in there with the manipulation of gravity, making tiny people, dystopian future… But as is, it’s just a nutter story Vonnegut may or may not have dreamt up on a plane.

Far from the best Kurt book but still a pretty solid plane read. Life is hard and getting old makes it harder. Good thing it will never happen to me!
