How to even begin describing this book? Told in various short stories that take place within the author, or some facsmile of the author's mind, this book is an absolutely haunting look at womanhood, introspection, and so many other topics. As usual, it is beautifully written and genuinely haunting. Machado is an expert at making people feel.

I surprisingly really LOVED the SVU spoof. I was scared I wouldn't since I never watched that show but it was a real highlight and I am glad I saved it for last.

Some other stories I didn't quite get ngl

Absolutely jarring. Not what I was expecting at all but I fell so attached the moment I read the first page. Beautiful and scary and confusing.
