The protagonist's clulessness about money and saving aggravated me.
Light, humerous, and utterly engaging, Confessions of a Shopaholic or any of Sofie Kinsella's books for that matter are a great choice for women who are passing the time on the bus or taking a break from more in depth and emotional reads.
I love Sophie Kinsella. She's my go-to author when I'm in need of a good laugh.
This book wasn’t very deep, it didn’t really have that much action or anything and it’s not that kind of book that you can just read and read for hours on end. But nevertheless, it was a fun book. It was small enough for me to take it with me to camp and it was actually the perfect book for camp. While reading, you’re always wondering how she’s gonna solve her money problems. She keeps doing stupid things and you keep feeling her embarrassed or you keep thinking “what are you doing?!” or “nooo don’t say that”. But the way that she does make things better is such a her-thing and it all just made sense. The character development is great, she slowly sees that she’s doing the wrong things and she slowly starts trying to fix it too. She does a lot of the wrong things, but also does a lot of the good things. (Also, I kind of predicted she would end up with Luke and I love that I was right. Hihi). I can’t wait to watch the movie!

This book made me laugh out loud so many times. I could relate to many of her spending "justifications" and they were hilarious. You could not help but love the main character and all her failures. A must read.
