It has been so intricately plotted, everything connects to everything. So many things and major plot points are connected to the first book. You can really tell that the author put a lot of planning and thought into creating this trilogy. Her writing is detailed and she makes the reader feel what she wants them to feel.
Pip Fitz Amobi has to be the best protagonist in a thriller novel. I love her character so much. Her struggle in this novel after the events of the last book Good Girl, Bad Blood has been depicted such that it breaks your heart. Part 1 of the book mostly deals with her struggle and how she is coping up with her mental health and a potential stalker.
But, Part 2 is where the real tension and adrenaline rush starts. You are kept on the edge of your seat, as you worry about Pip and Ravi and think about everything that could go wrong as they try to
A very large chunk of Part 2 is dedicated to
This part is fast paced and all the events happening do not leave a breathing space for the reader but its all okay.
The only thing that fell flat for me was the stalker revelation at the end of Part 1. I mean, I could see it coming from a mile away, there were so many red flags and anyone who has read enough thriller books would see it. Even if you've not read enough thrillers, if you just read the part of
The other only thing I would have liked to know at the end of the book was whether Pip recovers her mental health. It is implied a little, that she is probably recovering but a more explicit indication would have been appreciated.
This review cannot end without Ravi appreciation.
She wanted to go back. SHe wanted to run to him, fall into him, be Team Ravi and Pip and nothing more. Tell him she loved him in all the secret ways they had, hear him speak all those names he had for her in his butter-soft voice.
So everyone, READ THIS BOOK RIGHT NOW.
You are going to love this book, irrespective of the genres you read. You cannot afford to give this masterpiece of a book a miss.
Just have an open mind.

I found this book, however, to be a little but disappointing, as I guessed right away who the DT Killer was, and thought the signs leading up to it seemed obvious. I was also put off by how Pip reacted and responded to a certain situation, as it seemed extremely out of character for her, especially considering we have gotten to know her so well with the two previous books.
However, if this was a standalone, I would of loved it. And I would highly recommend this series to anyone who enjoys reading YA and loves listening to true crime podcasts.

"you're my pip and i'm your ravi. we're a team."
spoiler free review:
pip is still haunted by the death of child brunswick, but now a new case is on the scene. she believes she has a stalker, and the police won't help. i'm not surprised, really. police don't tend to take any of this seriously, which i think was portrayed very well through this. i also love the interviews pip does, the pictures, the emails like in the previous books - they really add to the story and i'm so glad the author decided to continue with this and add them in too.
favourite parts
- i think ravi is one of my book boyfriends. like, i absolutely ADORE their relationship
- pip's relationship with her friends and family. i love that she doesn't push them away
- the ties to the previous books. things that would've gone insignificant when i read the first book back in 2018. that's the work and thinking of a clever author, i loved it
- the second half. my heart was racing so much it honestly felt like i was running a marathon alongside pip. i wanted to scream from frustration at times because of it
- the whole "twist". i'm not sure whether pip's actions are good are not, that's up for you to decide. i think and did think about it for a while, that there were plenty of ways for that to have played out. she had enough evidence for it to work, although on the other hand i also very much liked that she got *that* person in prison because he absolutely deserved to go. i just don't know if her actions were ... admirable? i loved reading it don't get me wrong, and i think the ending was good, it made me smile and it made me cry.
