Anyway, can’t believe i finally finished this book and this series, i will really miss these characters and mysteries but with how this book went im happy it’s the last , i really don’t want to see pip getting traumatized again, oh pip how i love you one of my favorite characters ever for sure, waiting for season 2 of the show but with what I heard about season 1( haven’t wActhed it yet) I’m unfortunately not expecting a great adaptation but oh well I still have these books and the kill joy? Novella that I will read someday.

I’m not sure how to feel about this one. I enjoyed the plot and while I understand a lot of people are angry about the direction of Pip’s character development /downfall, I think the decline into the choices she’s making is a direct reflection of the PTSD that she experienced. I guessed the killer but the timeline of things going down when Pip was taken caught me off guard, and as much as she prepared and plotted to cover the murder I was SO frustrated by how a singular hunch she had of getting busted meant she cut off her entire fucking circle? Like that’s more out of character and would draw more attention imo. I definitely feel like I’d like a little bit more resolution than just the last page. Overall, I feel like the character arc was understandable (minus the drugs which was out of left field ??) and her thought process was sensical, although a little unbelievable. I really did enjoy this series and although I was bothered a bit by the ending, I felt like this installment made sense for the next natural progression in the storyline.

I found this one the best out of the serie! It started to feel more like a real crime book. I am hoping that the serie continues.
