It was an amazing read and the perfect ending!!
The fact that everything was a circle and it all came back to the beginning and that it was the closure that Pip needed and she got it I’m so glad

I am so disappointed that I didn’t like this. The fact that Pip chose to frame an innocent man for murder (regardless of his other criminal activities) made me lose all respect for her. If she was smart enough to frame someone, she was also smart enough to go to the police with evidence proving who the killer was. Also, just a random side note, but as a vegetarian, I know I can’t eat McDonald’s French fries. Naomi would know, too. A small detail that took me right out of the story. And the end? No.

My thoughts while I was listening to this:
1 hour in--- I really wish books had "previously on..
" because this relies on remembering everything that happened in #1 and #2
3ish hours in--- this is good! Best one of the series??
7 hours in--- this narrator is SO melodramatic. Every single line. Vary it up a bit please!
10 hours in--- what the FU...??? Seriously?? WHY? Nothing about this makes sense. Pip is supposed to be smart. This is so dumb on so many levels.
End--- Are you kidding?? Tied up with a neat little bow???? UG.
Spoilers:
I liked the trauma from seeing Stanley's death, though it was overdone and felt unrealistic, still. Nice to see a character that would actually be affected by that.
So why in the hell was she able to brush off being LITERALLY tortured without a second glance??
Also it was disgustingly obviously Jason. The secret email from Andy spelled it out. Come on.
And 2 full books and then it was just, oh yeah, remember that serial killer that killed literally the same day Andi disappeared? What, no one ever mentioned that? Strange.
Everything about her cover up sucked. I don't believe for a second that Pip would've forgotten that an innocent man was in prison and would be ok with just sweeping aside that Jason was a serial killer.
The end (as in final 5 hours) was a solid 1. Hated it. The beginning gives it some value. Ug. Definitely tarnished the series.

WHAT AN ENDING. This was the kind of book that I got half way through and then I couldn't for the life of me figure out what story would be left to tell after this. I actually think this was my favourite of the trilogy. MUCH darker than the first two, and a really fitting full circle to the original story that kept me really engrossed, I could not put it down. This would straight up be five stars without some of the longer stretches of metaphor that didn't serve much purpose, and we don't talk about the second to last chapter.
(I cried more than I have ever cried over a book).
Considering I finished the first book without much care or empathy for the characters and then after three I'm grieving the loss of them, I also think Pip??? needs therapy?????? A lot xx The character development is PALPABLE. Holly Jackson you've got me wrapped around your finger ok.
Don't read it in the dark (except maybe do because it adds to it).
