Although many books make me really sad and hurt me, it’s RARE that a book actually scares me to the point of nightmares and makes me sob okay? This book-I honestly have no words. When people warned me this book was crazy, I didn’t realize to what extent they meant.
Honestly, my heat goes out to Pip. She’s been through SO many traumatic things through this series, and by the end of this I was so glad there was some closure for her. When you think about it, everything that happened in this series could happen irl, and that just makes me thing about how I could never handle this. I feel like the author did an amazing job at making us connect to both Pip and Ravi.
BUT THE END. The way I sobbed in the last chapter and even harder at the very last page of the “epilogue” I actually cannot. My eyes were so dry from crying so hard after that.
The only thing I would change about this last book is that although it was technically necessary for the plot and everything, I wish that when Pip *spoiler that everyone that has read the book knows about* that it wasn’t so descriptive and stuff because it was REALLY descriptive and I was literally having nightmares that that would happen to me and couldn’t sleep that night because I was scared *spoiler* was gonna come *spoiler* to me. Like OBVIOUSLY it’s in no way the authors job to make sure my anxiety doesn’t act up, but I just felt like it was a lot. I honestly don’t even know how the author wrote it. I watch a lot of true crime shows, but this was something else. Each book got darker and darker as the series went on.

I loved the first book in this series but this second installment took Pip down a road of drug abuse and paranoia and crazy rash decisions. Is that really the only way anyone would handle a traumatic experience? Because if you read YA books nowadays that is the only logical path forward. And as I'm writing this I realized I skipped a whole book in this series! I still hold to my star rating based on the crappy trajectory of Pip and her mental health coping skills. Maybe if I read the 2nd book, this one would make more sense. I don't think I'm going to read it though. I'm tired of this genre.
Would have been 5 stars if there was more detail in that ending

At first I thought I wasn't going to like this book,
but chapter three and chapter ten-fiftyfive where where I got really interested. The mixed emotions Pip brings onto her friends when she needs help with J, makes people realize how much her friends love and support her.
"Hey Sarge, remember me?"
He was waiting patiently to be able to send that message. Day and Night he was waiting for the trail and for Pip to be safe. Ravi and Pip are the best dream team anyone could wish for. I'm so glad Holly Jackson brought them to life.
I am an emotion wreck after reading this story. It was astonishing how much i enjoyed the WHOLE series. Hopefully the show doesn't disappoint
