This was such a disappointing end to the series. It wasn’t believable (even for a generally unbelievably storyline), it wasn’t particularly satisfying, and the plot wrapped up far too quickly - the majority of the events happen in the last third of the book. The first two thirds were mostly Pip dealing with her own emotions and not in an interesting way.

DID NOT FINISH: 56%

I just could not continue with logic and reality thrown out the window and ran over twice. The possibility that Pip could kill someone after her continued trauma over Stanley’s death is just stupid. But that was just the icing on the annoying cake. Not realizing who the DT Killer was made no sense. It was super obvious as soon as she read Andi’s letter. I could get on board with her taking justice into her own hands because this guy was a serial killer. But destroying the crime scene because you are worried the police won’t believe you? STUPID. Framing another character that you don’t like (regardless how well deserved)? REPREHENSIBLE.

The book had potential but it just went off the rails. Thankfully I saw that it probably wasn’t going to find its way back so I read spoilers on what was coming. I’d have been super pissed if I pushed through for that.

A true failure.

4.5 ⭐️

The first half went so slow for me cuz ig i was expecting another case to be solved, same cookie cutter form, just a nothing-new mystery waiting to be unraveled BUT slogging through the first half for more than a month and then finishing the second half in a night speaks volumes on how Jackson was able to pull the final book in this trilogy together!! She definitely played the long game and planned out everything down to the most minute detail and i was eating it uppp. Perfect finale, no notes

This one is ok. Pip doesn’t listen to anyone and insists on being the martyr for everything. I got annoyed with her. There are too many parts that don’t make any sense. It has a happy ending with Max being found guilty and Pip and Ravi getting back together. However, the whole murder of Jason and covering it up is very messy and goes too smoothly for the cover up. This was better than the second one. If you read the others, finish the series. Otherwise, you can skip this one
